It is with a heavy heart that I have to send this note. Kathleen Kelly O'Donnell, wife of Kearny Fire Captain Andrew T. O’DonnellShe was the cherished mother of Griffin O’Donnell (his fiance Nicole), Luke O’Donnell (his wife Lucy), Hunter O’Donnell and Cole O’Donnell. Dear sister of Robert Kelly (his wife Hazel), Nancy Smith (her husband Teddy), Daniel Kelly (his wife Genny) and the late Joanie Stein (her husband Kenny). Kathy was the Sister-in-law of Committee members Gina O’Donnell-Wiltrout, and PGM Patrick O’Donnell, and beloved Aunt/Godmother of Parade Coordinator Brian Wiltrout passed suddenly this week. Her husband Andrew was the love of her life and her hero. They were high school sweethearts and have been together since 1985. She enjoyed many trips traveling with him and her children. Her favorite destination was Key West. In lieu of flowers kindly consider a donation to Tunnel to Towers in Kathleen’s memory.Arrangements are by Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home in Kearny. A memorial service will be Saturday, February 4th from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Full announcement can be found at armitagewiggins.com/obituaries/2023/1/30/kathleen-odonnell ... See MoreSee Less

It is with regret that we announce the passing of Claudette Corey Mother-in-law of United Irish President Kevin Quinn. See Announcement. Claudette M. Corey (Petrulio), 88 of Cedar Grove, N.J. passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022 with her family at her side. Born and raised in Montclair, N.J., after graduating from Endicott college in Beverly, MA, she pursued a career at Hahne's department store in Montclair as an assistant manager. After marrying her husband, the late William Corey, they made their home in Cedar Grove, NJ where they raised their four children. Claudette was an excellent cook and loved to feed her family and friends, especially at the holidays when her home became a gathering place. Always ready with a smile and a treat, she became known as the “neighborhood mom” when her kids were growing up by welcoming a rotating parade of their friends into her home. Claudette was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena RC Church in Cedar Grove and a proud member of the church choir. She was a dedicated bridge player and enjoyed playing tennis for many years. An avid gardener, she spent many happy hours tending her garden on Cape Cod and trying to keep ahead of the deer at her house in NJ. She became a grandmother for the first time 16 years ago and lovingly stepped into her new role as “Nana.” Five more babies followed to fill her heart and home. She loved watching them grow and hearing about all their activities, attending plays and games and other special events. Her absence will be felt deeply by all.Beloved wife of 60 years to the late William Corey. Loving and devoted mother of Michele Quinn and husband Kevin, Denise Corey and husband Ron Rader, Jeff Corey and wife Siobhan Callahan and Susan Nogales and husband Rubert. Cherished Nana of Julia, Patrick, Madeleine, Maximo, Liam and Hayden. Dear sister of Jacqueline Adams and husband David and the late Ernest and Roger Petrulio. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, from 4 – 7 p.m. at Shook’s Cedar Grove Funeral Home, 486 Pompton Avenue, Cedar Grove, N.J. A Funeral Mass is planned for Wednesday, December 7, 2022, 10:00 am at St. Catherine of Siena RC Church, 339 Pompton Avenue, Cedar Grove, N.J. Please arrive at the funeral home at 9:00 a.m., prayers will begin at 9:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Mount Hebron Cemetery in Upper Montclair, N.J.In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Claudette may be made to Cedar Grove Ambulance and Rescue Squad, 651 Pompton Avenue, Cedar Grove, N.J. 07009 or Susan G.
